Watch any movie or show lately and it’s uncanny how vividly and accurately Hollywood is able to bring together writing, production, and talent to accurately convey the traits of the fool or the wise man! Audiences are immediately able to recognize which category a character is intended to fall into. And yet it is not so easy to live out the traits of the wise man, is it? Sometimes we lack follow through. Other times, perhaps we have not yet learned the trait we ought to develop. The father-figure of Proverbs is here to help us in this second instance. He provides the instruction necessary that men would know how it is they should live in order to be skillful in this life in the eyes of both God and man.
