Every year, our kids coordinate with the cousins to prepare a secret Christmas play. They work on songs, dances, plots, and characters for weeks leading up to the family Christmas celebration. Finally, after presents are opened and everyone has eaten their fill, the adults are seated around the living room to watch this secret show the kids have worked so hard to put together for us. At last we see the fruits of all the planning and video call rehearsals, and it’s usually quite impressive, complete with entertaining costumes and comic relief! As fun as that unveiling – that great reveal – is though, it ultimately pales in comparison to the grand mystery that God unveiled on Resurrection Sunday nearly 2000 years ago! Despite God dropping hints for literally thousands of years, no one quite fathomed the incredible nature of what God was about to reveal! But reveal it, he did! And oh what a reveal!
